What a wonderful dinner and such amazing people. Shaenhet, Elvira and Dixon treated us amazingly. The food was so tasty. Ramen I. Particular was perfection and the sushi…OMG!! Will go back. The music was also fun and funky. Good laughs, good memories.

Wow, what a brilliant experience. Softshell crab Bao bun & Gyoza starters were delicious. Beef short rib Ramen was so good! Generous portions, tender meat and a deep broth. Fantastic. Staff were nice and attentive too.

Shin Coventry Friday (2025-10-31) about 20:30 whilst waiting for a coach from Pool Meadow. Just over the road and up the steps. No waiting time for a table. The staff were super friendly. They were happy to make a cappuccino even so late. Good sushi which was bought out quickly, including vegetarian options. If you're after a really fancy Michelin star you wont get it, e.g. the staff put the chopsticks on the table, i.e. missing the chopstick rest, delayed bringing the soy sauce bowl until I was part-way through the meal, put the plate on the other side away from where I was seated, and at the start bought out a lukewarm cappuccino, after a little wait. But the price point is great, again the staff are super hospitable, and the japanesey aytmosphere is cool. Recommend.

Such a lovely place. The decor and music is is very relaxing which makes the experience that much nicer. The staff are super friendly and always willing to help. The food came out quickly and it tasted so good (highly recommended the veg katsu curry)

Service was absolutely excellent from all the staff and we were made to feel extremely welcome. They helped us to choose food plus drinks and we absolutely loved everything. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back in the future.

If you’re in Coventry and craving Japanese food that will truly blow your mind, SHIN Japanese Kitchen & Bar is the place to go. We tried the Spicy Sakura Ramen and Hot Salmon Sushi, and wow… I’m still thinking about them. The sushi completely took us by surprise, perfectly crispy on the outside, melt-in-your-mouth salmon on the inside, and the flavors were so balanced it felt like a little work of art. Pair it with their chili oil and it’s like breaking through the 4th wall, next-level good. It was our first time trying something that incredible. Then came the ramen. The broth was rich, wholesome, and had this subtle smoky flavor that was just perfect, not too spicy, not too salty, just balanced and comforting. The pork? It literally melted in the mouth. Add a bit of chili oil and it’s game over. After 3 years of trying different places, I can finally say this is one of the best Japanese restaurants I’ve been to when it comes to food and flavor. And the staff? So friendly and welcoming, which just makes the whole experience even better. Oh, and the portion sizes for the price? Honestly, amazing. You’re getting real value for your money. In short: incredible food, great vibe, and worth every penny.
